The selection has begun for the Cicatrix artists, as they choose and reserve 5 pieces from The Swindon Collection, held by Swindon Museum and Art Gallery. Described as 'one of the most important collections of modern British art in the country', it features impressive and thought-provoking works by some of Britain’s finest modern artists, including Lucien Freud, Leon Kossoff, Frank Auerbach, Alfred Wallis and LS Lowry, alongside an important collection of studio ceramics. In preparation for the final exhibition to be held at Swindon Museum & Art Gallery in November 2018, the selected collection works will be shown with the work of the 3 original artists and 3 guest artists from New Zealand, Canada and Australia.
