Catherine Farish is representing Canada in the Cicatrix project

Images from the Canadian involvement in WW1 on Salisbury Plain, images to be manipulated, etched, defaced, layered, drawn and woven together to form a narrative depicting the dichotomy of the sacred and profane uses to which this land has been put over time.

“Catherine Farish is constantly on the lookout for things that will allow her to complicate both surfaces and the manner in which they are perceived. Hers is a restless sort of gathering” (Robert Enright/Notes).
