Catching our breath after 'Call and Response' had it's first viewing by the general public, exhibiting at the Rifles Berkshire and Wiltshire Museum in the Cathedral Close during the wonderful Ageas Salisbury International Festival. The beautifully tended garden of the Rifles Museum was an interesting contrast to the vast desolate landscape of Salisbury Plain which inspired this work. An entirely new body of work, including that of our guest resident artist from New Zealand, Caro Williams, - this second phase of Cicatrix presented a distinctly interactive show containing sound installation, drawing on perspex and digital work contrasting with the old school hand held viewfinders, both of which demanded the viewer activate the work. Our opening night saw the thunderclouds give way to beautiful evening sunshine and finish with the incredible Māori welcome display as the New Zealand themed festival opened with a parade right outside the Rifles Museum gardens .
