Looking at another form of marking the land - the Fovant badges. Not far from us, these emblems have been cut into the chalk hills by soldiers from WW1 onwards. Both Pru and I attended the recent conference looking at the life of these unique pieces of - land art, graffiti, heritage? Much debate was had around these categorisations, but the tradition of the badges, inscribed into the landscape by many nations and generations, will continue, as they soon receive a WW1 centenary addition.
