Priviledged to spend a rather special day together with Ewan Clayton http://www.ewanclayton.co.uk/about.html , talented calligrapher, writer and teacher who very kindly has become part of the Cicatrix story. Ewan will be writing a piece for the catalogue, pulling together the strands of the project and giving us his own informed insight into the work.
His writing will accompany other contributions including that of Senior Archaeologist for the MOD, Richard Osgood, who will open up both the militarian and archaeological history of the Plain.
The day with Ewan was spent discussing and experiencing the work so far with a particular interest in the synergy between the three of us and the changes the process has wrought in our current practices. It was, it has to be said, helped by Pru's excellent Polish soup and a couple of welcome bottles of 'Old Thumper'.
